Raise your Hands UP for Canberra Giving Day!

Our Canberra Day long weekend is now the time to be Canberra Giving Day ! What a great idea to have our long weekend the time to give to our local communities through @Hands Across Canberra ! Peter Gordon, CEO of Hands Across Canberra, writes:

Dear Friends,

Today I am writing to ask you to please raise your hands up for Canberra.  Hands Across Canberra is embarking on a tremendous fundraising journey and launching the city’s first online giving day on March 11, a major city first for a community foundation. This will be an annual event and marks the region’s biggest fundraising day of the year.  Funds donated will go to over 250 local organisations who support those in our community doing it tough, through our annual grant rounds. You can donate directly to Hands Across Canberra at www.canberraday.org.au or choose one of our giving day partner charities on the website (www.canberraday.org.au) and donate to them directly.  Join me in supporting our city’s first giving day on March 11: the Hands Up for Canberra giving day.
